HousePriceAI is a Chrome extension that helps you assess whether a UK property listing is fairly priced. This policy explains what data is collected and how it is used.

What data we collect

• Property listing text: When you click "Check This Property", the visible text of the current listing page (price, description, property details) is sent to our server for analysis. This text is not stored permanently — it is processed and discarded.
• Listing URL: The URL of the listing is sent alongside the page text. Results are cached against the URL for up to 24 hours to avoid repeat processing of the same listing.
• Saved listings: If you choose to save a listing, the analysis result (price, rating, property details) is stored locally on your device using Chrome's built-in storage. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly share it.
• Anonymous market data: When a listing is analysed, the resulting property data — listing URL, area, postcode, property type, asking price, estimated value, and rating — is stored on our servers to build aggregate market insights. This data describes properties, not people: it is never linked to your identity, name, email, or account.

What we do not collect

• We do not collect your name, email address, or any personal information.
• We do not track your browsing history.
• We do not store or sell your data to third parties.

Third-party services

Property listing text is sent to our backend (hosted on Cloudflare Workers), which forwards it to Anthropic's API to generate the AI valuation. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to data processed by their API.

Data retention

Cached analysis results are automatically deleted after 24 hours. Anonymous market data (property details and valuations, never linked to you) is retained to power aggregate market insights. We do not retain the raw listing page text or any personal information.

Your rights

Saved listings are stored entirely on your device and can be deleted at any time from within the extension. You can also clear all extension data via Chrome's settings.
